Currently, large amounts of industrial solid waste are produced globally every day, including a significant amount of waste paper products, plastics, rags and various textiles, rubber waste, leather waste, wood waste, and other high calorific value waste. On the one hand, these materials have complex and diverse compositions, and most of them have high strength and toughness, making pre-processing difficult,especially in the case of crushing, which is a significant challenge. As a result, a large portion of high calorific value solid waste is disposed of in landfills, leading to resource waste. On the other hand, once these high calorific value solid wastes are pre-processed to an appropriate size, they become high-quality "substitute fuels"(SRF/RDF).

With the scarcity of resources, environmental deterioration, and increasing environmental awareness clear CO2 emissions reduction targets have been proposed worldwide. On the one hand, using SRF/RDF to replace fossil fuels can reduce CO2 emissions, and benefit from CO2 emission credit trading activitiesas the CO2 emissions of SRF/RDF are much lower than those of fossil fuels. On the other hand, various kilns can simply add feeding devices to co-process SRF/RDF, while also receiving policy support and benefiting from environmental protection efforts.
